Located around 1090 meters above sea level among the green mountains of the beautiful Black Sea region, Uzungöl is the perfect place to spend quality time amid nature. Whether you want to hike around the many plateaus or feast on some of the village's famous trout, check out our tips before you go. On the way to Uzungöl we will visit Sürmene, which is very famous for its knives and old houses like Memişağa Konağı from Ottoman time, we will also see and harvest the Turkish tea from the garden. After that, from the valley called Solaklı, we will arrive at Uzungöl, between the two high mountains and nearly 1000 meters above sea level. We will have almost one hour to walk around and taking photos in Uzungöl. After eating our delicious traditional Turkish food by the lake, we will arrive at the top of the mountains and reach the other two lakes. Again we will have another hour for exploring and photographing, and if you like walking, we can walk from one lake to another. Some visitors prefer eating their prepared sandwiches by these lakes, so before heading there, we can decide it in Uzungöl.

We start our trip by visiting the Atatürk Mansion, one of the best examples of the city's civil architecture. We move to Ayasofya Mosque / Museum after an enjoyable time passing through the pavilion with its original furniture and magnificent garden. On the way, we see Trabzon Castle, Gülbahar Hatun Mosque and Tomb, Zağnos Valley and the Historical Zağnos Pasha Bridge and Ortahisar (Kaleiçi) Quarter and we arrive at Hagia Sophia. Built as a Byzantine church in the 13th century, the building has a unique value with its rare frescoes. Today, the mosque is used as a mosque in the building, and the garden after the exhibits are seen, we visit the Nature Park Sera Lake. After a lunch break in a restaurant, visit the Trabzon City Museum and then go to Boztepe, where a panoramic view of the city will be seen. After our visit to Boztepe, our tour ends, and we say goodbye.

Today you can explore more on your own and head to one of Trabzon's most essential sights; the Sumela Monastery is quite a fantastic structure as it's tucked right in a steep cliffside overlooking the beautiful natural landscape. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the Greek Orthodox monastery, built-in 386 AD, is 1,200 meters (3,937 feet) over the Altındere National Park.
