Wadi Qelt: Ain Fawar to St George's Monastery

Wadi Qelt: Ain Fawar to St George's Monastery

1 Day

The Qelt valley trek is one of the most beautiful walks in Palestine, even more so in springtime when the trees are in full bloom, and the valley floor is carpeted in flowers. Onward with the array of flora and fauna, the course passes through sites of historical importance, such as Ottoman-era buildings and the famous St George's Monastery. The view conveyed visitants to the 4th century when the earliest desert-dwelling monks sought lives of faithful privacy.

After the hike, we will head to the Dead Sea. You'll get to swim in the deepest salt lake in the world and use its famous minerals and mud for skin exfoliation and natural healing. Have a light lunch. Can you think of a better way to end the day?
